今日読んだのはこれ。
consciousとpreconsciousとunconsciousの違いが書かれていて、
「わかりやすい！」と思ったのです。
consciousとpreconsciousとunconsciousの違い。
こういうことだそうです。
前意識というのは、意識にのぼりうるもの。
The preconscious consists of anything that could potentially be brought into the conscious mind.
意識というのは、いつでも認識可能な考えや思い出、感情、希望のこと。
The conscious mind contains all of the thoughts, memories, feelings, and wishes of which we are aware at any given moment.
そして無意識は、意識できるものの外にある、感情、考え、衝動、思い出のこと。
The unconscious mind is a reservoir of feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories that are outside of our conscious awareness.
私の考えですが、
意識が、手元にあるお金、お財布にあるお金であるとしたら、
前意識というのは、普通預金のお金（アクセスしようと思えば比較的容易にATMから引き出せる）、
無意識というのは、当座預金みたいなものかな（あることは確かだけど、容易には引き出せない）？
経済に激疎い私が思いついたこの例えがどれほど有効なのかわかりませんが、
少なくとも、この3つをaccesabilityの点で考えたときの違いはそんな感じですかね。
違ってたらすみません。ちなみに普通預金はsavings accounts、当座預金はchecking accountsと呼ぶらしい。
話を戻して。
当然、我々が経験的に知ってるように、
意識と無意識のなかにも流れがあるわけで、
その例として挙げられていたのが「Freudian slip」でした。
これは単なる言い間違い＝slip of the tongueじゃなくて、
本音というか、心の中にあったものがポッと出ちゃった系のやつです。
An example of a Freudian slip is a man who accidentally uses a former girlfriend's name when referring to a current girlfriend. While most of us might believe this to be a simple error, Freud believed that the slip showed the sudden intrusion of the unconscious mind into the conscious mind, often due to unresolved or repressed feelings.
「イマカノのことを言おうとして元カノの名前を呼んじゃうやつ」という香ばしい例が書いてあります、ありがとうございます！！
こんなの当然、推し先生に聞きますよね。
私「Have you done that before?」
推し先生「ない。ちゃんと消化してから次に行くから」
つまらん…！！！！
そういう失敗談聞きたいのに！！！！！（鬼）
こういう失敗で思いつくのは、
学校で誰もが一回はやってるあれでしょ？

私「子どもが先生のことを"ママ"って呼んじゃうのもこれね」
推し先生「それいい例ね。先生に依存してる証拠」
私「母親に対してと同じくらい先生を信頼しているというサインでもありそう」
推し先生「確かにね」
ところで、youtuberのシノブさんが、
substitute teacherと言おうとしてprostitute teacherと言っちゃった話は大好きです。
これは、Freudian slipではなくて、substituteとprostituteが似すぎてるのが悪いと思う。
