「最後にこんなに爽快に感じたのはいつだったか覚えてません」。キャスリンは気分が良いばかりでなく、働き方にも良い影響がありました。「前より穏やかになりました。まだたくさんやるべきことはあるんですが、誰かに手をわずらわせてやってもらいたいとまでは思いません」

 

きちんと運動し、適切なものを適切な量食べるって、良いですよね。

自分で心がけてるつもりなんですけど、きっと「適切」なつもりで「適切」になってないんでしょうな。

 

To my best knowledge, exercise isn’t for you to lose weight, let alone to suffer. It’s something you can rely on when you hope to improve your mental condition. I believe moderate exercise and eating the right amount will lead us to be a better self. I have been trying to add fitness to my daily routine, but I need to go further beyond. Even though I understand the importance of exercising and eating right, but understanding and practicing are a different story. 

 

私の理解では、エクササイズっていうのは体重を減らすためのものでもなければ、よもや苦しむためのものでもない。精神的によりよい状態になりたいと望むときに頼れるものなのである。適切な運動と食事はよりよい自己になるために寄与する。自分自身も運動を日常に取り入れようとしてきたけれど、まだ足りないのだろう。適度な運動と適度な食事の大事さは理解しているが、理解と実践は別の話なので。

 

こんなに理解しているのに実践が難しいってどういうことですかね。

やはり「食欲」は名前のとおり、「欲」だからなのでしょうね。。。
